One of the really big problems with cryonic suspension is ice crystal formation.
We've been able to do it with hamsters for decades now, just freeze them real fast then pop them in the microwave to defrost, no ice crystals no problem, works just fine.
Problem is it doesn't scale too well for
anything larger.
You have to flash freeze them real fast and meat makes for a pretty good insulator so the cold can't travel fast enough from the outside to the inside on bigger objects to get the job done fast enough to avoid those pesky ice crystals.
We propose therefore to pierce the object to be frozen (Yes Bob, a person, please shut up, we're trying not to make the candidates nervous) with a lattice of uninsulated steel tubes and then pump liquid nitrogen through these tubes really fast at the same time as immersing the object in liquid nitrogen, thus flash freezing it from multiple points of the inside out and the outside in all at the same time, no one point of the object being more than half the width of a hamster from a point of freezing.
We feel confident we can find some way to achieve the desired coverage of the objects internal dimensions without causing too much damage to any organs you might want to use later .. but if you have any concerns speak with our consultant Doctor Dippel after the presentation.
With a little luck this should achieve the desired effect of flash freezing a larger object without ice crystals forming.
After which we just have to keep it at temperature while conveying it to the desired destination and find the right setting on the microwave to defrost it when we get there.
But we're sure we'll have all that figured out by the time we arrive.
