In IE, one can view and theoretically delete individual entries in the cookie list or cache.
It would be really useful if you could bring up screens that would show grouped cookie/cache entries in a site specific way.
The goal would be to either delete all the Amazon entries or keep all the bankcard
specific entries, etc when cleaning up the rest of the garbage.

Wow! There's a LOT of stuff in there...... |
I'm aware of that, Cliff, sorry, [contracts] :) |
That was the first sentence in the idea. |

I'd be looking for a substantially improved interface to that one; one that would include parking certain sites, make it clear what belongs to what, etc. |
Well, you can arrange it by username, site, and date. I don't understand what else you would need. |
It's a UI improvement. Say I wanted to never erase my BankZ cookies because if I do, I need to have my wallet handy in order to log on again. |
Or say I wanted to erase only the only porn site cookies. |
Maybe sort cookies by date of creation? Assuming important cookie groups like credit card sites were formed before porn sites, you truncate the files folder by date and prior to the next [preset] time you wish to thin out the files, you truncate the new cookie filegroups in similar fashion. |
Firefox allows you to define the allowed cookie group as "any cookie setter I've not previously removed", and that also has promise. |
Why'd I think this was going to be about *real* cookies that have been crumbled, packaged, and sold to feed to birds? Don't answer that question. |
