Crescent Moon on a Stick is a small plastic half moon, with its own internal light. It is attached to the end of a stick via a piece of string connected to a simple winding mechanism, like a fishing reel.

It only has two controls: one for the light, which can be set to on/off, flicker, yellow and blue. The other control releases small amounts of fine gold powder that descends gently as it blows away.

Crescent Moon on a Stick has only one purpose, and that is to bring happiness and delight into those above who's heads it is positioned while a tiny cloud of its lunar dust is released.

Lunar dust will give you silicosis and lung cancer. I like it. [+]

with inclinometer, could also be used to measure latitude.

With a disinclinometer, could also be used to measure lassitude.

With an incanometer, it could be used to measure ancient Peruvian architecture.

With a pentameter, you can measure the amount of artistic licence in Shakespeare's works.

By my tally [bigs] is in the lead.

Sadly mine too. Ohhh those lissajous figures, they're so hot..

I would like to see a version with a croissant on a fishing line, aside from that [+].

That sort of obsession is the sine of a disturbed mind.

I am feeling a bit lissajous right now - what's the best remedy?

[8th], you're really taking this thread off on a tangent, and you've failed to differentiate yourself from the crowd. Maybe you should curl up with a good math textbook.

Don't say that... you'll transform him into some Fourier'sly angry series killer.

Enough with the maths puns already. They're irrational and ab surd.
MaxwellBuchanan, Jul 30 2013

Yes, but fractionally funnier than fish puns, which is an important factor. What subtracts from that is that additional puns multiply the chances of opinion being divided. As an exponent of punnery on a large scale, we are sure you are equal to the task.
8th of 7, Jul 30 2013

I agree, too many maths puns, they are a prime target.
not_morrison_rm, Jul 31 2013

There are probably an infinite number of math puns, or am I being irrational?
Ling, Jul 31 2013

Did I mention that the Crescent Moon can be detached, and the empty rod used to beat irritating people with a manic type of uncontrolled vigor? It is then known as a Lunarstick.
xenzag, Jul 31 2013

No, you didn't. Are you likely to?

//Ohhh those lissajous figures they're so hot.

       I just prefer curvy, it's a fact(or).

I'm borderline tempted to form a protest movement for more oscilloscopes to be employed in fashion modelling.
