It's a pair of thongs (flip flops to americans) that have a cavity inside. You fill them with water and put them in the freezer overnight. In the morning you have nice cool footware for those hot summer days

       They could just be like the gel packs that already exist to put over your eyes. There may already be some gel-soled sandals that you could put in the fridge/freezer without stiffening them up too much.
