Using a woven form of e-ink, or some of that electroluminescent stuff, the rules might be updatable via DIM switches in the label (although that might make it a bit itchy)
Dry clean only.

Yes, now to combine it with utilitarianism and that would make it utility wear. |

If you had panels, like the scales on scale-mail, you might be able to have laminated sections of material that could change colour. The armour thing leads me to think initially of camouflage patterns - or spectacular drill displays. |

But a proper T-Shirt would be geek paradise and sell in millions - you read it here first! |

If you stood next to someone, would your automata interact with theirs? |

Does anyone else remember the "hostess toast dress"? It was a dress made of slices of toast joined together by hooks. There could be a similar dress which worked like this T-shirt. |

And of course i have to say this yet again: HOW THE HELL DO YOU WASH THIS SORT OF CLOTHING?! |

//Washing Instructions |

1. Carefully peel animated decal from front of T-Shirt
2. Unplug ribbon connector behind decal and remove decal
3. Unplug battery pack and remove it
4. You can leave the ribbon cable inside the shirt
5. Machine wash gentle cycle on cold
6. Hang to dry
Please Note: If you plug the connector into the battery pack backwards the shirt will not animate properly. It will not damage the shirt. Simply reverse the connector.// |

They will after they kill the first one. |

I'm sure they will but by then it's too late and they'll also have found a new way to rebel against their parents passively-aggressively. I seriously think this is a huge flaw in electronic gadgets in clothing that doesn't get addressed properly. It should be completely waterproof or something. |

It would be great having a glider roam down your arm and then off onto somebody's else shirt ! |

I've been considering all kinds of places for conway's game of life to appear, my ideas so far have been disco balls, brick walls, and those pin-sculpture toys. T-shirts would be cool. |

Mosaics and tiled floors. Mars of course, as in my idea. On a microscope slide. |
