This keyboard has LCDs on its caps indicating which characters are bound to which keys. Every twenty-four hours and every reboot, the keys remap at random. This provides a stimulating learning experience every day you use the computer, and the opportunity for whole new typographical errors to be made.
Moreover, it levels the playing field for hunt and peck versus touch typists.

[Nineteeny] you could try this by just
rotating your keyboard 180 degrees. |
|
|
No, 180 degrees in the other plane. |

If you can no longer read this, you have a
laptop. |

On the other hand, there's always this onscreen keyboard, |

OK, that should scramble too, but differently than tyhis one ]ddh, it gets easier . |

|
Hunt and Peckers should just learn the QWERTY conventions. |

HILARIOUS! On a similar, but smaller scale, note i remember when i was really young my brother and i would intentionally set the clock in our room to some really off time so when we were waking up we would have to think what was the "real" time...we'd change this offset every so often primarily to see if the other person would fall victim of it especially when groggy and trying to know what time it was (surprisingly, neither of us won against each other). It made us use our brains and there was the added bonus of getting friends out of the house sooner (it was always packed with our friends and we both never had the heart to say "get lost")...you can just imagine these friends leaving and when they got home they were like "wtf happened to the time". |

croissant to you because although i can see everyone hating it here i can see how something like this could stimulate brain activity. |

I saw a Binary clock for sale online and made me intrigued about getting one but i figure it would be very easy to read by the end of the day so it would be more of a geek trophy to mess up friends that drop by. |

Slightly different, because it would be useful, is a similar keyboard that show capitals when Caps Lock is on, and numbers when Num Lock is on.
That would be handy for laptops. |

check out [can1073]'s link, [Ling]. They have a demo that shows exactly that. Obviously, someone would have to embed it in a laptop, I suspect it would be both too bulky and power hungry though. |

Excellent. So, the only thing that's needed is a hacked driver for that keyboard. Which actually makes me think, that keyboard is vulnerable to being remapped by a virus. |
