Anyone who ever played the game 'Consequences' might see where I'm going with this. Basically, a sentence is written on a piece of paper describing an event, more sentences are not having known what the previous said and the resulting story is read out.
I propose there be a soap opera that is played
a once a week. After the episode, the viewing public send in suggestions as to plot developments that will occur next in the series. The submissions are selected randomly each week (removing anything vastly innappropriate like on-screen ultraviolence or hardcore pornography) and are developed by a team of writers into a show that will be broadcast the following week.
It could result in some very entertaining story arcs.

also each episode a random line written by a veiwer is put in the pocket of one of the actors. at a set point he has to read out the line like it should fit into the storyline. |

I'm sure it is. In the few soaps that I watch, it seems that each storyliner writes for a couple of weeks then another takes over, so at the end of one writer's shift, he does his damnedest to leave a ridiculous plot line for the next one to write himself out of. |

Those aren't quite the same as what I'm suggesting [phoenix] but duely noted. The script wouldn't be written by the public, a randomly selected script from the public could be a very bad move indeed. I was suggesting a show written by a team of writers but with the story development controlled by viewer suggestions. |
