Confetti Shredder

Alternative more secure shredding

With current shredder technology it is still possible to recover documents with patience and sticky tape due to the relatively few 'strips' per page.

By adapting hole punch technology you can rapidly convert that document into confetti and increase security by 'shotgunning' the document into a million pieces.

Whilst it is still possible to recover this information, its a darn site more difficult when theres nothing more than 5mm dots. The recovery time would probably outway the usefulness of the information actually stored on the document.

You could even subsidise the confetti industry by collecting it all at a central location, mixing it all up in a big vat and distributing it in cut price packs.

Note to self: stop condensing secret evil plan documents into 5mm circles.

just a thought but if it is THAT important that the document is unrecoverable, either buy 2 shredders and shred 1/2 the document in each shredder, or burn the shredded remains

Isn't this essentially what cross-cut shredders do anyway?

Curses, I just had this idea, and I was rather happy with it. This idea should really have more votes than it does.
