A computer first shooter game interface that actually drives sets of robotic axes, knives, batons and swords etc.
The game player can actually then feel the blows and cuts dealt by the enemy attacker. For instance in a game where the enemy fighter runs to the first person and attacks him/her with an
axe or knife.
The player might sit in a chair surrounded by these robotic driven weapons.
This might cause the player to concentrate much better and perform better in order to survive.
Of course there will be blood, sweat and tears.

I think for the sake of practicality, real bladed weapons should not be used. I could see an adaptation of this concept using spatulas, rubber chickens, spitwads, marital aids and lemon meringue pies. |

As a person who limits his gaming to tabletop roleplaying, and has lost friends to the insidious disease of online gaming, I would advocate the compromise of practice bamboo swords and knives, and blank ammunition. Spells are going to be a challenge, perhaps lemon meringue pie would be appropriate there. |
