It would be interesting to know the exact distance your mouse has traveled during it's lifespan. I think a program exists that will track it for you on your desktop, but I'd like to see a mouse with built in speedometer and an odometer too. You could even have it keep track of your clicks. This would
also help in the resale of mice(?), you'd know what you'd be getting right from the get-go, no need for lemon laws (unless someone figures a way to tamper with it). Anyway, if all that could be packaged in a mouse, I'd buy it.

Baked. My old mouse did this and would remind you to take breaks at certain distances or number of clicks. It even had a lifetime odometer to tell you how far you had scrolled. |

My God! This has reaaaly been baked. And I thought it was only a useless idea...oh well, I'll install it on my laptop. Can't believe how geek this makes me :-) |

But what about a keyboard odometer? One that tells you how many times you've pressed each key? I bet that's not baked. |

I thought this was about when the mouse was over used and interfered with my olfactory receptors. |

none of those are built into the actualy mouse though. Has anyone seen one with a digital display and information stored in the mouse? |

You're talking about a hardware odometer and you got my PLUS. |

Heh, I like the idea of a hardware odometer. Nice. |
