This is a spinoff of my previous idea, but substantially different.
Some doctors dress as clowns for children for therapeutic purposes, but not everyone finds clowns funny. Consequently, they should be confined to a single set of wards aimed at people who find that humour therapeutic. However, other
people have different kinds of humour, and there should be other wards, such as the 'sixties carry-on innuendo ward (patient must sign a non-PC disclaimer form first), Pythonesque ward (machine that goes PING!) and so forth. On admission, the patient expresses a preference for a particular type of humour and is admitted to the appropriate ward.

The advantage there would be the ability to use cartoon biophysics. |

You make me think of virtual cartoon biophysics as a placebo, [mouseposture]. Someone comes in with a crush injury, so you show them a video of a cartoon character squashed flat who then pops back to their normal state. That might really, really piss some people off though. |

this type of thing could do so much good for so many people. |

... except the ones on the Flintstones ward .... treatment there is a bit primitive ... |

I was reminded of the Mitchell & Webb hospital too (19thly's

I could also have linked to the machine that goes PING! of course. |

Is that just in the Foetus-Frightening Room, or is it generally available ? |

Welcome to the Oliver Norvell Hardy Memorial Ward. Patients are required to sign a waiver before entering. |

The The Thick Of It ward would be something to behear. |
