A Combo Birth Control/MultiVitamin pill would give everyone who takes a BC pill the benefits of taking regular multivitamins. This also could be used with a patch.

Interesting new research on taking vitamins and heart disease [hazel, Oct 05 2004, last modified Oct 21 2004]

You shouldn't need to take multivitamins if you are eating a well balanced diet. Taking more vitamins than you need can be at best wasteful as they just go straight through, and at worst harmful as some (eg vitamin C) which act as antioxidants become pro-oxidant at higher levels. It's a nice idea, but just not sure it's necessary.

I think this could work in reminding the more forgetful that they need to take their pill by acting on the dual fears of pregnancy and rickets.
