Coasting Laurels

For downhill boasting

Have you ever been walking to some place and encounter a gradual downhill slope? You just regret that you don't have some way of using your potential energy to your advantage; you wish you had wheels to glide to the bottom effortlessly, but without having to tote a bicycle or skateboard uphill.

Now there's an easy way to avoid this problem; they're called Coasting Laurels. They look exactly like that crown of laurels awarded to Olympians from a distance, but all you have to do it push back four unnotticeable clumps of laurel leaves to reveal four scooter-sized wheels. The frame of the crown, despite its fragile appearance is actually a cylindrical steel loop, with catamaram-style netting between it. The wearer/rider sits or stands on the upper surface of the laurel headpeice, and will coast on his/her laurels all the way to the bottom of the hill, where they can be worn again immedeately.

Also comes in waxed fibreglass for snowboard-like coasting.

       Laurels are for resting on.

What if I were walking around and someone got a glimpse through the leaves and saw my wheels? I would die of shame. This apparatus would only be useful late, late at night or in very remote parts of the world which are also paved.

I know laurels are for resting on. I forgot how the phrase went. Anyway, if you would vote for Resting Laurels, let me know, and I'll post it.

The Coasting Laurels would be very full and bushy; also I'd think you'd be proud to show off your multifunctional trophy.

I am very proud to show off my multifunctional trophy, but remain uncertain about the laurels.

All in all, the *Heelys* that I see kids wearing and using in the aisles at Costco and neighborhood sidewalks look like a lot more fun than *Coasting Laurels* without the pain or indignity of bumping around on one's bum. And, with the Heelys, the laurel wreath could stay firmly ensconced on my head, helping to keep my brow warm and my hair neat (and sweet smelling).

Have you ever seen a kid fall on his/her ass while scooting arond on those things? It's so painful...just to watch...and to point...and to laugh.

The Coasting Laurels have four wheels so they're less likely to topple.
