Swiffer (R) is a brand of dry cloths, like a hybrid between a tissue and a dry cloth. It is so attractive to dust that you can dust any surface with it, and the dust sticks to the Swiffer instead of the original surface. Even after it's filthy it still cleans any surface dust-free.
I've tried rubbing
one through my hair to pick up dandruff, but the problem is it's flat and doesn't make good contact with the interior of my hair.
I think a wide-toothed comb with a special cloth like this wrapped around each tooth would be amazingly good at removing dandruff. Simply comb the dandruff away.
Even better, you should be able to buy a pack of 30 replacement cloths, so when one gets dirty, you simply throw it out and attach a new one.

Shave in the shower myself, but how about a vacum tube attached to the razor? Pulls the skin up for good contact and drops the hairs in the disposal. |

[Normzone], sterilize the shower head in a hydogen peroxide solution to kill whatever is in it or possibly do a water sample test on tap used to wash shaving cuts is my advice. |

[phundog], unless you supplied your own comb, scissors, plastic cape and neck tissue at your last haircut, there's more there than dandruff. |

Swiffer is a great cleaning tool, both the dry ones and wet. I think the comb idea could work. |

[norm], I think you have something there with the vacuum tube razor. I'd kill to have something like that. Okay, not kill, just beat someone to a pulp for it. |

The difference between dust and dandruff is that the scalp actually *produces* dandruff whereas the Swiffer or cloth only has to remove a foreign substance from a surface...so you can remove all the dandruff that is loose and removable at one moment but there's no guarantee that on the next stroke of the comb there won't be more that wasn't there before. |

Etymon's right. The very act of disturbing your scalp (to comb it or to scrape off dandruff), will likely cause more dandruff to start flaking off the scalp. |

Use an anti-dandruff shampoo? |
|
|
That way you could use a regular comb and keep shampooing like usual. |
|
|
Or how about a super thin membrane that the hair is pulled through (like a die cap) until its tight to the scalp, effectively trapping the dandruff to keep it off your shoulders? |
|
|
You could take it off every couple of days to rinse out the dandruff, then put it back on, and its porous enough to allow water and shampoo throo. |

Shave, then apply a Swiffer? You're assuming a dry scalp condition -- my dome begs for a waxing cloth. |

Dander, schmander! Just vacuum your hair with the Hover brush attachment. A clean one of course. |

Don't forget those eyebrows! |
