Clapping Wave

 Audience claps at the end of a performance in a sequence creating a wave that circles the theater or stadium.

That thing where people stand up in a stadium to make "the wave" only with clapping.

People would raise their hands and clap one time when it was their turn and the applause would circle around the stadium. You'd hear this big roar of claps coming at you, clap yourself and listen as it passed over you and rounded the venue.
