There is plenty of anecdotal evidence to show that Chicken Soup can help you when you have a cold. First the food is soothing to the throat and the nourishment aids in healing. The other benefit is the wonderful smell can be soothing and can help open breathing passages.

The Chicken Soup Bath Bouillon Tablet allows for a quick and easy way to take advantage of this benefit. Just draw a hot bath, drop in one of the quick dissolving Bath Sized Chicken Soup Bouillon tablets and you will be enveloped in a cloud of soothing Chicken Soup vapors helping you feel better while you fight off that pesky cold or flu.

What's good for the inside of you is good for the outside too? Hmmmmm. Not certain that your cough syrup bath will be popular.

Soothing Vapors are not good for you?

       chicken bath and noodle soap?
xandram, May 18 2006

I suppose you could make it more of an Essence of Chicken Soup rather than actual Chicken soup, but the actual Chicken soup is much more halfbakeryish than ode de chicken soup.

There is a minor joke amonst vegetarians that you could serve chicken bath water and call it vegetarian chicken soup.

Is there a version for the soul?

Like a foot bath? Chicken soup for the sole? (sorry, but someone has to knock down the pun that hidden truths set up.)
st3f, May 19 2006

No, it is just a very small bath, only enough room for one person.
Galbinus_Caeli, May 19 2006

Nice usage [st3f]. Sole does seem like something that might be found a bath, but I'm not sure how they would swim in chicken soup.

I kept my pet haddock in chicken soup for a week - the poor thing died almost immediately. But I understand that James Brown loves the stuff. Painted onto his shoes. By ghosts. In Korea.

There must be a market for chicken soup (or milk or water or whatever) that some famous personality, let's say Britney Spears, has bathed in. Celebrity Bathwater.

I've heard that those who are slightly hard of hearing have been known to pour chicken soup onto their flower-beds in the hope that it will improve the general quality of the earth.

I mentioned this idea to my fiancee last night and she endorsed it. Something about the salt being good for your pores.
normzone, May 19 2006

       //plenty of anecdotal evidence//

As someone who worked in a leading herbal remedies retailer I can vouch for the effectiveness of this kind of evidence as a selling tool.

       I love chicken soup.

Just remember that the plural form of "anecdote" is "data"
Galbinus_Caeli, May 20 2006

And then you drink the bathwater...
DesertFox, May 22 2006

Chicken soup is also good for baby horses.
zen_tom, May 22 2006

Zen, I just pecked in to see if you are making a foal of yourself. I'm just chooking on these baaaad puns. Let's just moooove along.

Thanks [d] I was beginning to wonder whether I had to unleash the idea that girls in gogo-dancing clubs might use chicken soup as a lubricant on the cylindrical metal things they dance around. But now (thankfully) I don't have to. It would be bad farm of me to continue.
zen_tom, May 22 2006

That would have been terrible. Good thing you didn't write it.
hidden truths, May 22 2006

I'd prefer to go in the 'soup for cowards' direction...
pertinax, May 22 2006

If you lose your soul, does chicken soup start tasting bad?

       'Cause mine sucks.
notmarkflynn, May 22 2006

...didn't your mother tell you not to drink the bath water?
