the tank may have an additional 2" thick plastic coat with plenty of small holes in it. in these holes, chia pet soil could be placed and that weird chia grass grown. this could provide decent camoflouge if accompaied by other methods such as the use of twigs and camo nets.

One wonders quite where a chia camouflage would come in handy. On patrol in the local gift shop, perhaps?

just some more green to blend in with the trees and grass.

Hmmm, I wonder if you could grow chia fatigues.

       Excellent point, krelnik

If you capture an enemy tank, it's an excellent source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acid.

In response to [2 fries], chia fatigues are better known as "ghillie-" or "gillie-" suits. Quite popular with snipers and Special Forces in conflicts around the Okefenokee Swamp and other subtropical locations. Personally, I'm still waiting for the Armani version.(link)

The question is, how fast could this be applied to a tank?

       "Enemy plane incoming! Apply miracle-gro!"

I think that this is a decent idea, maybe worth a bit more exposure... i posted the idea at a funny hour, so please read..

on the bad side, how would you water the tank that much? but on the plus side, it would decrease your heat signature to aircraft trying to give you a missile.
