Unlock, click, pull a bit and the back 2/3rds of the vending machine rolls away on casters, you roll it into your truck, and grab another back unit, roll it over, push, click, lock. Take the first back end over to new store. A sort of daisy chain of every changing vending machines.

Most supermarkets have a bargain bin for dented cans and stuff close to sell by date, But usually they also have purchasing mistakes where someone meant to but two cans, but somehow got two cartons of cans. You could use this stuff to stock a weird sort of vending machine. And supplement with stuff from overstock stores.

Say you establish a route of 20 supermarkets. You buy 20 front ends and 23 back ends. Your truck makes a daily or weekly circuit. Each back end full of purchasing mistakes that end up being offered at 20 different locations. But at the new site the merchandise is normal or even rare.

What would have been a loss in the remainder bin, now becomes an ever changing attraction. Drawing people back to the store.

And the money could be picked up on a more regular basis making it much hard to make any profit from breaking into the machines.

actually the efficiency that speaks to me here is automatically filling the vending machine backs with a robotic arm offsite. I have seen actual vending machine technicians, on site, putting bags of snacks in vending machines, robot packed vending machine modules might be much better
