Cats are very snuggly. But when they never get a bath, the situation takes a turn for the worse. But whenever you try to bathe your little feline friend, you inevitably get scratched up beyond recognition. So some kind of apparatus is needed in order to give it a proper scrubbing without a claw in your
side the whole time. This is my plan: A crane-like device hangs over the bathtub with ergonomically-designed straps on the end of the crane arm to comfortably secure your cat over the tub. Then turn the crank to lower your cat's legs into the tub to soak them. Bathe your cat normally, and raise him out. Dry. And now you have a cat that is fresh and clean without any spilled blood on your part!

I pity you. they have l o n g memories. |
this device could also double as a ducking stool for cats thats practise witchcraft |
[Helium], that's halarious. The toilet method seems like it could be quite effective, if used properly. I hope 8th isn't up this late... |

Meet dustin. He loves baths, he lives for baths, and that is right after he has spent 24 hours licking himself sterile. I have witnesses. (He scratches me if I don't let him have a bath.) |
(btw, [ruuufuwhatever] welcome to the bakery. One suggestion. If it's about cats, it may have already been done, not needed, or cruel. Just a bit of advice.) |
I used to have a job cleaning cats, and you have no idea how hard it is to get all that hair off of your toungue at the end of the day. Seriously though, the first automated cat bathing apparatus was invented by Puisset le'Catto in 1763, he called it the megre d'laver and only used it on the fourth day of every month, (the date of the inventions completion), which is why the english named the feline species "cat" it is derived from the french word for four, quatre. |

Baked. Carwash. The spinny kind.. |
Use the natural approach and breed a giant cat tongue that you could rub the animal on. |
Oh, yes, my cats would just love to be strapped into a harness over a tub of hot water. They're far too stupid to realise what's going on, let alone remember for next time. |

8th: Congratulations, kitty... you get to drink from the FIRE HOSE!! </UHF> |

ruufus, Once this idea runs it's course you should change the name to "Car Washing Cat Apparatus". |
You'll get a second run for your money even though we'll both have to stay after class... |
sorry about this idea. it was pretty lame. |
its not always about croissants and fishbones. welcome to the halfbakery, Ruuffus. |
Ruuffus, inappropriate bakery ideas get slaughtered early and don't get to hang around for the fun of "roasting." You underestimate how on target your idea is for the *cat*agory. Here have a croissant. <smiles> |
Ruuffus, let's experiment. Watch what I do in a minute. |
At the risk of sounding a bit old and crusty, please could someone point me to some relevancy to the bakery with all this chat? |
The browser refresher button? ;-) |
Uhhm.. I would say the anon edit/delete button might be a better and more appropriate option. |
You don't have to bath cats. They handle it themselves. |
I uasually just throw my cat in our pool once in a while. |
