Here's a fun way to liven up a day at the office that's fun for all the family. One day, select somebody from the office to be the "gatekeeper". They will perform this role until they are sacked, resign, retire or die. This person will choose somebody's desk each day and tie a cat to its surface before work begins. Staff will make their way to work, wondering if theirs is the desk with the "tied cat". If it is, then others will point and laugh at this person and this person will be responsible for looking after the cat for the rest of the day. If the gatekeeper so wishes, he/she may choose to pick the same person's desk for the rest of his/her natural life.

Not a game but similar idea [dobtabulous, Oct 04 2004]

If it were me I would untie the cat and hope to entice it to choose to spend its time near my desk by providing a comfy bed and some fishy tasting treats. I wouldn't fancy the gatekeeper's job - have you ever tried to tie up a cat that doesn't want you to? Scratch city.

Cats are pretty low maintenance anyway, just make sure you got a litter box and some nose plugs

carefully placed staples on each of the paw areas will fasten the cat securely to most desk like surfaces.
