This protective mitt with clamps allows you to wash the car with your own cat. No worry about pain for either of you. The cat mitt attaches to a universal fitting for gas operated weed whackers. Kitty has no time to experience fear. The spinning motion creates a natural anelgesic.

*This kit comes with a special spray-on catnip presoak for the automobile to loosen dust and road grime. Special catnip emollients in the detergent concentrate in sunlight as the product is used titrating the nippy dosage and giving kitty all the incentive it would ever need during the pleasant weekend chore. Kill two birds with one stone and remember attention is attention.

Minds change...

hollajam - you are quite out of order, confusing a new halfbaker.

Here we go ruuffus, Lesson #1:

       Never apologize for your ideas.

       Okay. Good [po]

       Next...?

did we give you a hard time when you first visited HB? apologies if we did but lets learn from that.

hollajam --- you probably would have garnered more support for your idea had you mentioned the power option - you know, the adaptor kit that allows you to plug the kitty in to a drill or whatnot rotary tool

power tools always get more croissants

but, if you were really, really smart, you'd figure out a way to convince the cat that getting soaked and soapy, and rubbing itself on the automobile, is a good idea - so good, that it does the job of its own accord

Please? Is English still an option?
blissmiss, Oct 14 2002

"Thank you [qb] for the suggestion" I made adjustments.

Personal note to any newbie: Study Shrodinger's box: Sleep with it. Give it a pet name. Make a hole big enough to come and go from easily. Observe the universe from inside from time to time. Eat cereal out of it. You will now carry it with you for the rest or your bakery life...

To paraphrase something jutta once said, I find it difficult to distinguish you from your Markov chain output.
waugsqueke, Oct 15 2002

       <sincerely> waugs, I understand completely.

I like the paraphrase more and more... Fit it does.

Newbie question: why is it that (a) there are so many cat-related items on here and (b) cat-related items here seem to provoke the most avid annotations? OK strike that, I guess (b) is the answer to (a) so all I want is the answer to (b).
krelnik, Oct 15 2002

[Krelnik] Cat items have become by practice the HB preferred 'X' variable in idea discussions when the unfortunate whimsy strikes.

       Idea vs. Ego
thumbwax, Oct 15 2002

[PeterSilly] This page was an experiment.

I created this as an idea to be an observational document on the process of annotation for a newbie to follow along. I was innately curious about doing it anyway.

It wasn't done as a 'chat' regardless of your view of it at the moment.

[thumbwax] Nope if your implying what I think. This was born out of sheer curiosity first and formost.
hollajam, Oct 15 2002

and curiosity killed . . . what was it again?
quarterbaker, Oct 15 2002

       [qb]

Hmm. Perhaps someone hid your answer in Shrodinger's box. You would never know for sure without looking, would you?
hollajam, Oct 15 2002

Has someone already suggested a random orbit pussy?
phoenix, Oct 15 2002

       [phoenix] I have reconsidered.
