A large part of my life revolves around sitting in college and waiting for a class to either start or end. And I don't necessarily want to spend that time entirely concious. In fact, I never do. But most backpacks today don't have enough padding to sleep on comfortably.
With an inch and a half of
goose down in the rear padding, the Cat-Knapsack is every thing a sleepy student needs. It also includes an alarm clock sewn inside the upper pocket, and a handwarmer on top similar to those found on pull-over hooded sweaters, enabling you to cuddle the bag as you nod off.

When I was in university, I used to sleep so much in lectures that the other students made me a sign for the desk that said "ASLEEP". I took it to all my lectures. One day, a lecturer noticed it and asked if I knew what the word "soporific" meant, intending to confound me. I told him it was a term used to describe something that induces sleep. He asked if I found his lecture soporific, I said no I was just really tired and he let me keep dozing. |

On the flip side, you could have a bag with lots of hard, spiky things in it, so that you stay awake. |

That describes my current bookbag, which is almost 50% pens and scissors in construction. |

No, I'm a damnable pack rat. I always have little odds and ends, like pocket flashlights and lighters even though I don't smoke. I play a lot of Survival Horror games, so I feel like I should carry everthing I find on my person "just in case." For a day or two, I tried carrying around food because my friend Jorge never remembered to pack a lunch. |

I'm like that too. I *always* bring my torch with me on trips, even when I know that I most probably won't need it. |

But then again, there are advantages of having lots of pens in your bag, as pens have a habit of running out and running away (not literally, of course). |

To pack lighter & tighter, you could have the pillow part be inflatable, and you just blow it up before your nap. |

Then, you could even put a "blow me" label on the pack without being obscene. |

I read the title and thought of a cuddly pouch with 4 holes for a cat's legs to stick out of. But I like this idea better. Less pointy, if you leave the cactus home. |

I guess there'd only be two options for me if I were to be waiting in-between classes. Reading or sleeping.
I must say sleeping would be a better option as reading requires some amount of thought, although... would you not be paranoid about having shaven eyebrows as you awaken from your short slumber? Aye. A thought. |
