You know, onions sauteed in oil until they become sweet. |
Well it'd probably be better than cock ale. |
Do onions grow on de vine? |
I seem to recall that in Pharonic times the Egyptians made beer by fermenting bread, and this bread would often be flavoured with onions. There was a prayer which pretty much went, "Oh mighty <Deity>, give us this day our bread and onions". So there may well be a historic basis for this. |

Pickled onions go pretty well with beer. And real ale brewed from onions can hardly be worse than the vile tasteless Eurofizz that many mass market brewers foist on the public under the appelation of "Premium Lager". |

I would avoid work for the next 10 days. |

Added to certain ales this would make bitter, sweet. |

Back in 'the day,' we had a carmel-apple eating contest. Yummm.... Guys vs. gals. Only there was one small change: the guys didn't get carmel-covered apples. We got carmel-covered onions. One big bite later... |
There's a Carmelite convent near where I work. No onions though. |
Is the Father who officiates at a Carmelite convent technically known as a Sugar Daddy ? |
Wah ... wah .... wah ..... waaaaaaaaa. |

// "ship of the desert" joke// |
Camels are called the "ship of the desert" because
they're full of Arab mariners. |
So a two masted scow in the Gulf of Arabia is called a Two Humped Camel of the Sea ? |
