Disables buttons on your car stereo.

Don't you hate it when you have a passenger in your car who just can't seem to keep their hands off your car radio? As soon as he gets in the car, he switches stations from your favorite rock, to classical. Or he constantly plays with it, surfing up and down the dial. I have a solution for that, a floor button (inaccessable to passengers) that disables the front panel controls on your car stereo. This would be most useful in cars with audio controls on the steering wheel. When the keys are locked out, the radio is only controllable with the steering wheel buttons. This would put an end to your passengers' annoying habit of radio surfing in others' vehicles.

But sometimes you have to hang out with people because they have all the money/ drugs/ loose women or men/ etc. and you may not like them very much but that's the way it goes.

Better yet, the floor switch disables the buttons AND puts the stereo back to presets (where you want it). "Sorry its broke..." you could say.

I like it when a passenger takes over operation of the audio system.

Me too [Galbinus]. Unless they play Saxon non-stop for hours and hours when I'm driving then fall asleep leaving me listening to it whilst the bag containing CDs is between their feet and the only radio stations are playing talk shows in Swedish and I'm too nice to wake them up (real-life scenario from recent holiday).

Why do Saxon have to SHOUT the names of their "songs"?
