Car Plumage
Spoilers, underbody-lighting, stripes, ornamental scoops, tinted windows, fuzzy dice, et cetera. Sheesh, why don't they just put peacock feathers on it. | |
Okay.
Attached to the rear of the vehicle, the tightly-furled car plumage extends the automobile out by another length'n'half or so, tapering to a line in a manner similar to a long-feathered bird. This makes the car look more aerodynamic, and keeps tailgaters at bay on the road. Embedded orange,
red and white LED's sub in for tail-lights.
Normal vehicle steering automatically yaws the feathers (wiggles to the side) when turning or changing lanes, to avoid cold-cocking people and other vehicles.
Which is fine and dandy by itself, but push a button on the keyfob and the assembly tilts then fans outwards - twenty feet up and to each side - in the classic "strutting peacock" display, and the rest of the LED's come to life.
Discrete control of plumage movement can also be made available to the car's security system and media player for autonomous, choreographed showstoppers.
Great for intimidating other vehicles at traffic lights, car shows and dealerships. Inject a bit of randomness into stalled traffic.
A different splay pattern and it can be a speed brake.
Add this to it as well...

On the contrary, they were great waddly fat things. If they made one mistake, it was to taste sooooo good .... |
|
|
Early results from the cloning lab suggest that they
taste something like chicken, with just a hint of
Great Auk. |
|
|
Not sure this is a good idea - after a display, other
cars might be tempted to try and mate with your car. |

Hmmm, not sure about that - sounds like it might taste a bit chauky .... |
