Car Horn With Dog Or Crying Baby Sounds

Barking for standard horn replacement, growling to signify general anger at another driver and howling instead of sirens.

Alternately: baby crying noises so a traffic jam would sound like a nursery full of crybabies.

[doc], this is without a doubt one of your best - no, darn it, absolutely your finest idea. In fact, I'm nominating it for Time Magazine's "Best idea ever and we're not kidding bro" award.

...and the sarcasm award goes to... envelope please.... (goodness I'm so nervous, giggle!).... OH MY G-HOD!! MAXWELL BUCHANAN!!!! (crowd goes wild)

[+] because it might be funny with doppler effects.

What about the roaring engine and squealing, clattering tracks of a very large AFV ?
8th of 7, Feb 01 2020

That reminds me of the story of Yuri Luzhkov summoning a 10- tonne AFV to drive over and crush a BMW that was illegally parked in a bus lane - a story that I cannot now find on the internet, so maybe I dreamed it.
pertinax, Feb 01 2020

No, it happened. They later admitted the incident was staged, but it did happen.

       Well, I liked it.
blissmiss, Feb 03 2020

Of course; watching a BMW being crushed is always a source of joy.

[pertinax] - your search will work better if you look for Arturas Zuokas instead of Luzhkov; Vilnius instead of Moscow, and a Mercedes instead of the Beamer.

Yes, but to be fair, he got all the details right, apart from the location, the perpetrator and the victim - certainly enough to get a death sentence south of the Manson-Nixon line, as long as the accused is black and the judge and jury are all white....

       D'oh! Thank you, [lurch].
pertinax, Feb 03 2020

Yeah.. What could possibly go wrong? Mistaking a car for a dog?
If car horns were to howl like wolfs, would dogs tune in to resonate?

// Arturas Zuokas, Vilnius, and a Mercedes

We had not seen a sight like that after Remigijus Šimašius came into service.

As a nod to the history of movie sound effects, I'd like to have the "Wilhelm Scream" as my car horn sound
hippo, Feb 06 2020

The sound if the RMS Titanic's hooter - at full volume - would be excellent, although the equipment is somewhat bulky.

ya have to move this to ::Car::Sound

       Done, thx.

Wow, looking back I was on some kind of horn obsession, comes from living where I do. Obnoxious people with their Teslas whose time is so valuable they can't be bothered with proles getting in the way to their mega companies or mansions. Honking at each other for the slightest driving faux pas.

By the way, curious how many others know that's pronounced foe pah but still pronounce it fauks pass in their head when they read it. Just me?
