'Is this a camera I see before me?' | |
OK I know the quote is from Macbeth, but bear with me.
I used to do a bit of stage acting in my 'slightly' younger days and I loved it. There's no buzz like performing infront of a live audience in a cool part and getting a big standing ovation at the end.
I don't do any of that stuff anymore,
but i'd love to be able to log onto a webste which has live feeds from cameras placed on stage actors of the RSC say.
Along with the audio of the performance, watch Ophelia cradled in your arms, sword fight with Laertes and see the sad faces of the front row as you finally slump to the floor, before Horatio gives your eulogie.

Or do a movie. Film it over and over, from each actor's perspective. While watching the DVD, allow instantaneous switching between views, whatever you think will allow you to best follow what is going on. |
Well I was thinking about that, but really whats the difference between that and any other 'point of view' movie. The point is that you are part of the live event and the really cool thing is that you also get the feed when the actor is back stage, giving you a fuller experience of what its like to be a stage actor. |

It's more than just a documentary though, I hope you would agree. |

I was wondering how long the puns would take. |

Not what I thought at all. |

I imagined some sort of fight between web cams, where both eventually go blank, and there's some eugoogoly centered around an emptied mouse shell. |
Even if I wasn't massively underslept, I don't think that comment would have made any sense. |
Really? You've never heard the word eugoogoly? It's that thing you give at a funeral. |
It's the emptied mouse shell that gets me - I didn't think they laid eggs. |
Oh. That was a Yorick reference. |
