Now Saddam was keeping the flock of Iraq, his Vice-President, his younger son Qusay, and he led the flock to the back of the Palace, and came to an effigy burning, in Baghdad.
The face of Bush appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the effigy of Bush. He looked, and behold, the Bush burned with
fire, and the Bush was not consumed.
Saddam said, I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the Bush is not burnt.
When Dubya saw that he turned aside to see, Bush called to him out of the midst of the effigy, and said, "Saddam! Saddam!" He said, "Here I am."
Bush said, "Don't come close. Take off your sandals from off your feet, for the sand you are standing in is where the line is drawn."
Moreover he said, "I am the Son of my Father, the President of The United States, the Commander In Chief, and the Brother of Jeb." Saddam hid his face; for he was afraid to look at Bush.
Bush said, "I have surely seen the affliction of those people who were in New York and in Bali, and have heard their cry because of the terrorists and those who harbor them, for I know their sorrows."

But the Lord hardened Saddam's heart, and he would not let the inspectors be. Then the UN said to Bush, 'Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness will spread over Babylon...' |

According to a PBS inside reporter, oddly, it seems that the once-secular Saddamn Insane has found fundamentalist Muslim religion, with new state encouragement. |

Damn ! i thought this was about something else. |

So the idea is to burn Bush? |
|
|
Your nic - was it given to you by unanimous decision? |
|
|
Doesn't Saddam have to sacrifice his firstborn son on the
burning bush or am I thinking of another Bible story? |
|
|
There is something about this idea that doesn't sit well with me. I don't want any Bushs to be burned (George jnr's immediate family apart they are quite a nice bunch). |

hippo, you're thinking of Isaac, Son of Abraham. It was he who took his son, Isaac, to Mount Moriah - Isaac asked his father where the lamb was that was to be sacrificed. Abraham told him God would provide the lamb. At some point, Isaac realized he was the one to be sacrificed to fulfill the destiny. Abraham was about to sacrifice his son when the voice of God told him not to hurt his son. He had proven his faith. Abraham and his family was blessed, and through them, all the nations. A lamb for the sacrifice came along, and was sacrificed. The destiny was ultimately fulfilled when he who is called The Lamb of God was crucified. Jinbish - the legendary bush didn't burn - nor will the Bush - coincidentally, Moses was tending sheep at the time. Allegorical Shepherd of the flock, you know. |
