Well, at least it's not in Other:[General] .... |
I suspect there's a limit to how much building you can safely
balance on a 4ft-odd pair of rails. Taller buildings will
definitely need to tilt into the curves. |
You'd need special building rail. |
I think it could avoid traffic problems. |
//special building rail// Ah, good thinking. Otherwise "We
regret to announce that the 7:53 Fitness Centre from
Basingstoke has been delayed. This is due to broken-down
Citizens' Advice Bureau on the line." |
Radical idea. The building should probably be made of lightweight alloy rather than bricks. If you think of what activities Humans spend most of their time doing, perhaps the best way to start would be a snack bar. Then you could add on to that a restaurant, with tables and seats for the diners to sit and eat their food. Perhaps the next most obvious building to add on would be a lounge, where people could sit in comfy chairs and read a book or check their phones. |

In that case, the first requirement is for sleeping accommodation, and the second for bathroom facilities; then an area in which to consume food and drink. |
Surely all those needs are met by a La-Z-Boy recliner? |
For many students, unfortunately that is entirely correct. |
So, you propose to relieve traffic congestion - by
shuffling entire buildings around? |
Are there no inherent problems with this idea that
come to mind if you reflect on it a little? |
To be fair, there's no promise here to *relieve* congestion -
only to improve it with extra disorientation and
claustrophobia. |
I think that's a fair ambition - if you can't relieve congestion, make the congestion more entertaining |
Yes, except TfL already own the IP on "disorientation and claustrophobia", although there's no mention of induced enochlophobia, unpleasant biological odours, or enhanced transmission of infectious diseases or parasites. |
Quite so, [pertinax], my mistake. In fact there's no
stated purpose or promised outcome here at all. This is
the very sine qua non of a solution in search of a
problem. |
