Bubble Exhaust

A device that fits over your car's exhaust pipe, with a rotating bubble disc that picks up solution from a reservoir as it goes around. The disc has built-in propeller fins so its rotation is powered by the exhaust. In case the exhaust pressure is too high to reliably blow bubbles, a vent could be used to bleed off part of the pressure to power the whole thing.

The faster your engine is turning, the more bubbles it makes!

Neighborhood children could run into the road and pop the bubbles!

Distracts chasing dogs as well. I'm having a hard time seeing a downside with this one... unless I'm the guy behind you that's run out of washer fluid.

Bubble solution could probably be cut with washer fluid. You could be doing someone a favor.

My first Jeep had a broken tube on the rear wiper that sprayed fluid directly backwards; I put a small sign in the rear window that said "honk for free carwash."

Hah! We used to point the nozzle on the windscreen washers sideways. This was in the days before car airconditioning was popular and people drove with windows down.

Did you find it difficult to drive when it was wiping your rear?

Unless it was an emergency, I'd find a place to pull over.

Nice - these bubbles should rise pretty fast, being full of exhaust gases which are warmer than the ambient air. Thus, the exhaust gases will get carried up above the stream of traffic rather than mingling with and being cooled by the surrounding air where they would be inhaled by motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
