[Edit: changed name and clarified]

Get an insurance that will cover you for when you can't pay the insurance. They'll see to it in the year or two when your down, that your insurance continues, so when your back on your feet, you continue with the old programs, not losing your initial medical status etc.

It's a low cost insurance that pays monthly, but only to your insurance company, if you're out of work, if you lose credit and if your bank account was stopped. They also tell you what your options are. This insurance can only be given on other company's programs. A company cannot insure its own programs.

It promises to respond immediately, but you will have to pay back a large amount if it turns out that you have cheated them.

Income Protection Insurance http://www.britishi...ent-protection.aspx
A policy that pays you an income for a short period of ime (12 months) should you be out of work for reasons of illness, or just unemployment. You could use it to pay your household bills, including your health insurance ones if you wanted. [zen_tom, Jul 27 2011]

Anybody to remark on this please?

       Okay. How's this?
RayfordSteele, Jul 27 2011

um. It definitely is a remark.

hmm... zentom, no. The thing is that the insurance will not cover you for not paying the insurance. They'll simply cancel your insurance. and then your stuck. Whereas this insurance is one that pays your insurance bill, so when you stop paying IT, they contact you to find out what's going on, and save your day. (and year)

       Insurance is a scam.

Really? Oh, I see, it's just that from your idea text:
//It's a low cost insurance that pays monthly if you're out of work...//

From that, I took a leap of faith and assumed that you were suggesting some form of insurance that pays out monthly when you're out of work...

This is baked in the US; it's called COBRA (I have no idea why), and it costs a mint when the piper comes calling.

Thanks zen. I edited it connecting the first part of the idea to the second, so that it would be clear that paying monthly is to the insurance company and not to you.

You weren't being ironic were you? I always thought zen had to do with peace of mind while irony had to do with anger.
