Material which changes colour according to how tightly it is stretched. Colours up like those relief maps in atlases.
Bulges / swellings appear as mountain ranges, areas where the fabric hangs appear as seas. Everyone will have a different landscape. Can have different designs with map symbols on -
trig points, landmarks, waterfalls, areas of outstanding natural beauty, county names etc etc.

So you want clothing that accentuates your bulges? Doesn't seem very aesthetically pleasing to me. |

How tightly it's stretched is not equivalent to bulges, as garments are generally made to fit a generic shape. The tightness may reflect your deviation for the generic blueprint, or may again be a design feature. |

I like maps, so I've got to say this could produce an interesting effect. + |

Badish idea for general wear but could be good for trying styles and cuts of clothing on such as the difference between 2 pairs of jeans from different manufacturers |

Also your map would always be 'about' the same. And the map wouldn't actually display any meaningful information at all. |

In any case, it's a hollow colored
ball (mine is purple) made of a
rubber-like material that is highly
compressible and flexible. It feels
like I imagine a silicone breast
implant does before it's implanted.
When you squeeze it hard, the
orange/red fluid inside presses
against the purple rubber,
thinning it out and showing the
orange colour inside. The harder
you squeeze, the brighter it gets. |

Perhaps you could make use of
this principle; the only problem is
that it would be like wearing a
wetsuit with a liquid center. |
