Blow Globe

Ornamental cocaine transport vessel

At the time of this writing, cocaine production is a multi-billion dollar industry. Unfortunately, draconian legislation that is antithetical to the spirit of free-enterprise imposes harsh penalties on cocaine distribution. In response, cocaine farmers must invent creative solutions for transporting their product.

Accordingly, I propose that snow globes should be used as transport vessels for cocaine. The cocaine is dissolved in some clear fluid (of sufficient viscosity so that the artificial flakes convey the ferociousness of a blizzard when the globe is swirled), then sealed in a plastic bulb that features a quaint, festive scene. The advantage of this method is that the cocaine can be shipped in a hermetically sealed compartment.

Drugs have long been smuggled in religious ornaments and artwork and even in coffins, for these sacred items are less likely to be inspected by the police. In a way, snow globes are the religious ornament of the modern industrial state, for they present an idyllic snapshot of halcyon days shielded from the imperfection of Reality by a few millimetres of acrylic. On top of that, how devious it would be to hide a narcotic in plain sight! Who would expect that?

Finally, the blow globe could spurn a new philatelic craze. Just like the businessmen who collect miniature bottles of liquor that are served on airplanes, lawyers and and other professionals could start their very own blow globe collections!

Annotation:

Did you know that Coka Cola corp is the biggest importer of Cocaine leaves. Supposedly the leaves have all the cocaine removed to make cola flavoring. That is the story anyway. But Coke may be a major customer of the drug Cocaine. Straight cocaine was used in Coke years ago.

I think pretty much everyone knows that. The plant is actually coca (cocaine is the drug that it contains), and the company is called Coca Cola, which is sort of a clue.

Yes, and pepsin was added to Pepsi to create a beverage that would (allegedly) aid digestion. I, too, would like to see the return the medicinal soda craze of the early twentieth century.

Anyway, you're free to use cola as the solvent in your own Blow Globes, although I think it would raise a few eyebrows if you did.

I wonder if cocaine dissolved in Coke would confuse the sniffer dogs?
