It being spring, all the trees are now beginning to blossom. Looking at the streetlamps, they seem out of place. Their stick-like quality blended in with the naked trees of winter, but they have failed to adapt to the annual rebirth of foliage.
If the lamps were fitted with a mechanism to replicate
the gradual motions of blooming wildlife, no longer would they be inapposite.
Petal-shaped movable shutters or a slight change of hue would be enough to brighten the day of a curious onlooker.

Nice idea. I think that a lot of urban structures could look more natural. |

wish I'd have thought of this... |

What a lovely idea. Now we're getting more sun, maybe the streetlights could have solar panels which unfurl and follow the sun, like metallic sunflowers... |

See, I have some ideas like this, but was always afraid they'd be classified WIBNI. So, where does an idea cross the line from being good or wishful? |
I tend to think of it like this: If one graphs core idea attributes, bad to good, along two axes, X ranging from obvious to inobvious and Y, ranging from implausible to plausible, then this idea fits well into the desirable "inobvious, plausible" quadrant. In addition, this idea, like many other good ideas on this site, is playfully creative--whimsical--and in a way that allows people to easily see it in their mind's eye. |

Ah well. I should just post away, and wait for what may come. |

<Aq_Bi>... is renascence really a word? Wow. |
[moomintroll] Yes, "renascence" is a word - it an anglicised version of the more artistically/historically loaded word "renaissance", or "rebirth". |
Heh, here the streetlights have all blossomed with the red and yellow of labour party posters. |
I do like the idea of moomintroll's solar pannels, although I guess they might look a bit too artificial. |
