Block Clock

The domino theory proven time and time again

This digital clock will amaze friends and colleagues alike, as its tiny dominoes order themselves and then fall to form the digits. Whether flat on a table or hanging on the wall, the choreographed movements and “clickety-clack” clatter will enchant both young and old.

Each of the dotted, ivory white blocks, one fifth the size of a real domino, can turn and tilt on its end. The dominoes seem randomly placed on the clock face until a number is to be fashioned. They then rotate to build straight and curved lines before, one after the other, knocking each other over.

The whole office will pause in expectation to watch 11:59 transform to clutters of standing blocks, before the tiny dominoes then form queues that collapse into 12:00.

FJ, you need to get in touch with the guy who built the clock in roby's link. With your ideas and his technical ability, maybe some of your clocks could be brought to life.
