Half a croissant, on a plate, with a sign in front of it saying '50c'

Yeah, I wish it made more sense too.

Black Light Sports

Glow Football.

Everyone knows of the magical properties of the Black Light (link for those who don't).
Well any sport could be played using white equipment, wearing white strips (different patterns for different teams) and with white pitch markings, all under Black floodlights. Imagine football played at night, with just the ball, the lines, the goals and the shirts of the players visible (and glowing), or basketball with illuminated baskets.
Any sport would look better, and even baseball might get interesting!

if you sat cats all around the edge of the pitch (or foxes, badgers, whatever) would their eyes light up?

i'm tempted to vote for this since just about everything having to do with black light is cool. correction -- everything about black light is cool.

but then i think about reading the several dozen 'black light this, black light that' ideas that will appear over the next several hours here, i become depressed that i will grow to hate the concept of black light. i make a sandwich, have a cigarette and write this anno.

for the good of black light and all mankind, a fishbone (which admittedly would look cooler than a croissant under black light) must be tallied. it kills me though 'cause man, watching women's tennis in black light would kick ass.

Re. I though we did this already, i never saw it.
Re. Everyone jumping on the bandwagon, it doesn't have to be a good idea for people to start mimicing, and that isn't my fault!
It would look cool as anything!

[MO] you make good points. i am penalizing you for the future banal mimicry of others. i change my vote. still mostly having to do with women's tennis, but then there's that whole justice thing too. (+)

       Very noble of you [xclamp].
We can but hope this slips under the radar of those less imaginative amongst us!

The uniforms are going to have to be different colors, so you can tell who is who. Also, I imagine there would be quite an increase in the number of dirty little fouls that go unseen by the refs, so (+).

MO: So much stuff around here vanishes in the haze. I must admit I can't find the idea now, and if it's gone, then it's fair game.

There is a "Glow Putt Putt" black light miniature golf course in one of the local malls here.

Yeah, it's kind of baked in air hockey too, but I reckon I'll get away with it.
You wouldn't need different coloured strips. One team could have vertical black stripes, the other horizontal...
See, I've thought of everything!

       black light paint ball!!!!

a rubbish idea but I wanted to beat desertfox or some other clown to he punch. adding the word 'paintball' to something doesn't make it cool and I am guessing in a couple of days I will have to make a similar pronouncement about black light.

Reminds me of the Tron frisbee thing.
