Bin Gun
Considering approaching Kelly Clarkson for the jingle rights | |
If foley artists make gun-noises that sound like movie gun noised by setting off bangers in a bin, could guns not be made to sound as the washed majority think they sound simply by puncturing a hole in the bottom of a metal bin and sticking the the fore of the gun through the hole, the aft (including
the handle) remaining outwith and behind the bin. When fired, the binchamber may or may not create a large echoey booming noise, which will sound boss. This approach has the added bonuses of giving the wielder something to catch enemy bullets in and of making the firearm easier to disguise (as a bin).

trans for the transatlantic:
bin:trashcan
bangers:firecrackers
outwith:outside
boss:mega |
|
|
As in the traditional English dish known over here as
firecrackers and mashed potatoes. |

|
The shoulder holster is going to be a bit lumpy under your coat. |
|
|
//outwith:outside// Nobody ever uses "outwith",
except possibly the Scots. We can use "without" to
mean outside, but this is considered archaic. |

I'm considering approaching Kelly Clarkson for her jiggle tights. |

Anyone carrying two or more of these weapons
would be bin laden. |
|
|
In terms of devices used to manufacture sound effects for
movies, I'm afraid it's bin dun. Firing a gun into a specially
tuned sounding chamber is currently a widely used
technique. |

SAY HELLO TO MY METAL BIN! |
|
|
I am pondering the concept. Instead of the
muzzle stuck unseemingly thru bin butt, why not
have the muzzle flare out in a tubaesque fashion
to binnish diameter? |
|
|
Infact if the gun were at an angle to the tuba
cone, the cone could be rifled such that the
bullet traced out the entire surface area of the
tuba along greater and greater circles. Sort of like
those funnels one can roll coins into except
reversed, with bullets and loud. It might be hard
to determine where along the outer
circumference the bullet (actually a Minie ball
would be better) would emerge and so this gun
would be best used under circumstances where
there are many things about that you would be
happy to have get shot. |

A fitting instrument for the Airborne Regimental Marching
Band, then. |

Is that something like a rum ball? I got really, really sick on
rum balls one christmas. Also, I hate gin. |
