Mites are everywhere, and I'm sure they can be induced to engage in mortal combat, in which case I believe that contests should take place using belly buttons as the arena for these unique spectacles.
Cameras with powerful macro lenses would record the bouts under miniature floodlights, as the mites
manoeuvred, and negotiated the various folds of skin that characterise the average bellybutton.
Obviously they would need to be identified by wearing microscopic replica Mexican Wrestler masks, and that would require a nano technology device to dress and undress them.
In time, champions would emerge, and a league of Belly Button Mites organised. (no mites were encountered or injured in the writing of this idea)

This is disturbing, in flagrant breach of the "Do Not Disturb"
sign on my door. |
|

Would inevitably lead to the breeding of bigger mites.
Eventually macroscopic. Picture one of those climbing,
victorious, out of your navel. |

//This is disturbing// Such a sweet comment. How happy I am to read those words. |
|
|
Two mites enter, one mite leaves! |
|
|
It all sounds very uncertain. |

//using belly buttons as the arena//
Innies rather than Outies presumably? |
|
|
"Outies" would be good for a form of Sumo, where one mite
has to push the other off. Miniature Dung Beetles could be
trained for that specific purpose. |
