There are myriad diet plans, exercise videos and products, and so forth advertising instant good health. To look at them you would think it takes almost no effort. Just 90 days? 5 minutes a day? I just have to buy this thing and then I'll become healthy? I have to do all of these exercises every other
day or I'm screwed? I have to keep up with Hercules there in the video doing a hundred squats at once? It's no wonder people give up immediately and the rowmaster, treadmill, video set, or rubber thingy collect dust until they're thrown away.
It's a good way for them to make money but SOMEONE out there must actually want to get people in shape. A life isn't changed in one massive, intense effort. A life is changed by a pattern of very small successes which are large enough to overcome setbacks. If this idea is baked I haven't seen it.
This exercise program would include a weekly twenty minute phone call from a coach with encouragement and advice, a description of isometric exercises anyone can do with only a pull-up bar OR (not and) a small set of dumbbells, and a personalized diet and exercise plan. The theme of the program would be "keep at it and your life WILL get better." No high pressure do-it-now, no lies about the time it takes, but lots of encouragement and reassurance.

So, a peloton subscription? |

No, as far as I can tell with a quick interweb search... not like that at all. |

Putting down my beer and running around the house to work up a sweat before the weekly 20-minute call from my personal trainer. Its important to look good and sweat a lot to avoid negative comments from the trainer. (I keep a wet T-shirt handy if I dont have time to work up a sweat.) |

Just the anticipation of the weekly call is enough to burn a few pounds. Maybe Ill ask for 2 sessions a week. This is working for me. |

Noticing definite improvement in the right elbow region, with a bit of backsliding on the backside. |

Checking if I can see my toes yet. Almost. |

I was expecting a slow- growing periscope. |

The secret sauce is not eating (i.e. water fasting). Eat nothing, lose half a pound a day. Hard, but possible. |
