Bathtub turbine

Turn free water into free energy

Most people who rent their apartment (at least in the US) have free water, but must pay monthly for their electricity. So, if you had a turbine in your bathtub that powered a generator, you could conceivably never have to pay for electric. You could just leave the water running all the time.

I'll listen to no naysayers who say it's wasteful. It's hydroelectric, so it's safe, clean, efficient, and non-polluting. So there!

Yet another halfbaked idea goes down the drain.

Yes, but since thousands of people in the "Third World" die every day through lack of access to a simple thing like clean drinking water, I can't croissant this, even though it would actually work.
