Bar Noise Filtering Circuitry

For Cell Phones. Can be extended to other realms

I'm on my cell phone speaking with my client or spouse, and I'm in a bar.

The clanking of glasses, the muffled thumping of house music, the occasional cheery guffaw of a slightly inebriated beauty -- all noises I would prefer muffled before my voice reaches the other end.

Can be customized for Baseball [cricket] games, bathroom use (muhahaha), and when (hypothetically, of course) your spouse is yelling at you.

Can also be reversed for dweebs who want the person on the other end to think they are in a hip bar, ballgame, or actually has a significant other to yell at them.

DrCurry had a similar idea suggesting cell phone booths, but I believe this might deserve a separate entry.

Well you could get out some of the noise with a band pass filter. Just set one up that eliminates frequencies above and below the human voice range. Getting other people's voices out could be trickier.

Thanks for the links, Phoenix. We're taking it a step further.

Perhaps what's needed is a helmet made to go over one's whole head and phone. It would have to be airtight (sealed e.g. to one's neck), which would make for an excellent excuse to keep the conversation short.

Why do I seem to have a strange habit of killing these conversations? Hmm... <ponders>
