Following the logic of Calciballs. Making tiny balls of non-stainless steel should serve the same purpose. Furthermore their degradation in various solutions can be adjusted with various non-toxic alloys, and would add an expiration date to these products beyond which they would become uncomfortably
scratchy due to rusting. This expiration date would significantly add to product sales.

What is the logic of Calciballs? Have they anything to do with
calcispheres (very small fossils)? |
[8th] we've all had enough of your puns. now just Fe²O³ will you. |
I think he steel has one up his sleeve. you can't ballaim us for being enthusiastic. It's for a noball cause. Anyway he always steels the show. |

I apologise if my previous comment was perceived as offensive in any way. What I meant to say, was, enough puns, give it a rust. |
We dare you to come oxide and say that. |
Not with you in that temper |
You may think you're hard enough, but quenchng you will put a spring in our step, and don't you forge-t it... |

Sounds itchy. A better idea would be a series of
evening social events for thieves: "Balls of Steal" |
Or a moral tale for small children, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. You could call that "Bowls of Steal". |
A rustic grin as the prank is played out? |
Oh yes - interesting idea. |
Iron/steel could certainly be used as a scrubbing agent
for hands. Is that what this is? How tiny are you thinking? |
Brillo pads: leave a used one on the side of the sink for
too long and it turns into a rusty mess. |
Maybe high concentration of Fe+ ions has some
antimicrobial effect: Ag+ ions do, and I think Mg+, Zn+. |
It could stain things quite badly. Tiny iron balls in any
significant amount will block your drains though. But hey,
you could probably unblock them with a magnet. |
Ooh, your drain sludge is going to be an anoxic/reducing
environment, so you might get hydrogen sulphide, iron
sulphide... |
Water pollution could be an issue if lots of people started
using this though. It might cause algal blooms in your
waterways and coastal ocean - I seem to remember that
iron filings spread on oceans is a proposed carbon
sequestration mechanism because iron is a limiting
nutrient in some oceans. Also anoxic environment leading
to dead zones. |
But then, phosphates, nitrates etc...just as bad. |

Thank you [hippo], the funniest thing I've read in a very
long time. Still chuckling...hours later... |
