An actual good ole fashioned retro Abe Lincoln style top-hat. ...comes in green.

One would presumeably wear it as a symbol of commitment to a cleaner environment.

This could get a seal of approval.

       Aren't mud-packs the current in-thing?

They're trying to exfoliate it?

I want to send out an apologetic note to Southern US Coastal residents, the situation is very very bad and I shouldn't make jokes. But there is really nothing the Halfbakery can do except make poorly thought out inventions that won't fix it. So please don't take offense ya'll

Do you have to pay for the hat yourself, or do you just pass the cost onto your customers ?

There is, in fact, a very obvious and simple solution to relieve the [low] pressure which is driving out the oil into the ocean. A little lateral thinking goes a long way.

I like the intention, and the reference to ol' honeset Abe, however; How much attention it will bring to the hundreds of dying birds and pelicans...I dunno. Maybe a giant brown sludgy, greasy, oozing top hat would suffice. One that would soon blow up, if worn on the head of a certain negligent....

Yes, I live along the Gulf coast, and it is an unfortunate event. In times like this, our sense of humor keeps us going, while we rescue as many pelicans as we can.

Malaysia has quite a well-developed oil industry. Just charge them a nominal fee, and let them drill through from the other side and suck all the oil out from underneath.

This would also reduce their dependence on palm oil, which in turn would help to save the orangutans. It's a win win situation.

Give it enough time and there will be oil-proof pelicans. Don't stand in the way of evolution, [Shawnbob].

Dent, how does that differ us from BP?
