so kids can view the movement with their own eyes.

Just to clarify, I meant to make a natural amoeba grow artificialy without dividing. Not to grow an "artificial amoeba" although that could be a cool idea in and of itself.

and when I say giant I mean like 2 meters or more.

       You can't mimic it in a plausible way artificially, and there's a maximum size to a real cell. Maybe some kind of magnifying device...?
