Simple. Our intrepid Michael Palinesque presenter has to travel around the world, arriving in each country on the day of one its national (and, preferably, peculiar) festivals. Participation is obligatory.

Today, the Casting of the Goats on Pitcairn Island. Two days later (after a telegenically fraught voyage), the celebration of the Glorious Twelfth in Scotland, then a mad dash to the Yawatan Peninsula as they celebrate their sultan's official birthday...

With an average of just over 4 days per festival (including travel time), the preparations and post-festivity court hearings could form part of the charm.

"What?! I've been booked into *two* ritual circumcision festivals!"

"Yes, but the good news is you've got National Sex Change Day between them, so it works out quite well."

Do try and focus, Ian dear.

Surely it would be the building that was called the Palindrome?
