Most tosters have a simple pop-up mechanism, but Armed Toaster
doesn't pop up. Instead of popping up the toast, a simple folded over
arm grips the bread with a set of mechanical fingers and pulls the
toast out when it's ready.
It's a purely mechanical operation, with the energy to operate the
arm being delivered by a spring that gets primed when the bread is
inserted and the arm folded over into the gripping position. Once the
set time has been reached, a simple solenoid switch releases the
catch holding the arm in the folded over position, causing the spring
to pull it upright, bringing the toast with it.
Now all you need do is to open the fingers gripping the edge of the
slice of toast and enjoy your culinary achievement. Inevitable
deluxe version feature two arms that make two slices.

Reluctant bun, because the idea doesn't live up to the promise of the title. |

"A similar idea, without the toast." Is a microwave a similar idea to a fridge, only without the ice making? |

//Reluctant bun// Your's can have two arms. One to handle the toast, by flinging it towards the ceiling, and the other is armed with a pistol to shoot holes in it as it flies through the air. |
