In cold weather, water vapour exhaled by a vehicle's occupants causes
obscuration of windows when it condenses. This is mainly a problem
in the first few minutes of driving, when the engine is cold and there is
no spare heat to divert to the ventilation system.
However, with the new BorgCo car
mask, the problem can be greatly
alleviated. Simply place the mask to cover the nose and mouth, and
breathe normally. Air is inspired from the interior of the vehicle via a
one-way valve; expired air passes out through another one-way valve
into a lightweight tube provided with trace heating to prevent
condensation. This warm, moist air is routed to the exterior of the
vehicle through a vent port.
Once the car is warm, remove the mask and continue as normal.
Common for motorcyclists!
