OK, most late-onset Alzheimer's Victims came of age in the 30's and 40's. So an "Alzheimer's" edition of Trival Pursuits has questions about... Bing Crosby and such.
BUT, you really only need one or two cards instead of the whole deck! In fact, I'm not sure you need the board. In fact, I'm not
sure you need much of anything. That's the beautiful part. And furthermore the beautiful part is that you don't need to drive the eggs!
Murdering Nurse

Damnit, [music hater], you don't know anyone suffering from Alzheimer's, do you? Or if you do, why are you posting this? |

Sorry; "nurse humor" I suppose. I do have a close relative with AD, actually, but sometimes you gotta let off some steam. |

But a more relevant question is how so many people could be confused about how brainstorming actually works... really "dumb shit" as Bubba calls it, is often the creative basis for a new idea. Columbus was trying to get to India, Post-it Note glue was originally intended to be a strong glue, Phoenician sailors were just trying to cook dinner when they came up with the idea for making glass. You see, sometimes it's good to bake someone else's recipe. And try not to become blinded by your own opinion of me. ;-) |

business: product development - just invokes a smallish whiff of money-making and implies that your so-called brain-storming involves making a few bob out of these people? |

nurse humour? oh do me a favour! |

I thoroughly understand the need to blow off steam in this particular case. It is a neccesity, and I don't begrudge you that. Sorry for getting het up. At the same time, it pays to consider how you will be perceived. One of the blessings of this website is its tendency to help clean up your writing style. Stick around and look for the flow. |

// Even nurses exercise good common sense when it comes to humor // |

Except the kind that murder their patients (see link)

I will throw my bone on the pile here. But the idea of a party game for demented folks is not obscene in itself, and actually is a pretty interesting idea. Little kids have games which are suitable for their intellectual development. Folks with mild to moderate dementia would be insulted if asked to play chutes and ladders - but many of these folks do have good memories for remote events - as [Mumu] says, from the 30s and 40s. I suspect there already is a "Great Generation" Trivial Pursuit. A trivia game with rules modified to allow mildly demented folks to exercise their remaining skills would be a fine idea. |

[Mumu] - presentation is everything. Many of your ideas have a kernel in them which you could cultivate into stronger proposals. |
