a performance centred on the story of an international rugby match set in Twickenham. the story traces the fortunes of both teams as the score wavers first in favour of one team and then the other.
it portrays the skills of rugby players, (in what is a beautiful gruelling game artistic and passionate
in a brutal bloody way) with ballet, the discipline which teaches self discipline, correct body placement, strength, and gracefulness.
the dancers glissade across the stage during the magnificent tries, a releve movement during the lineouts and a quick pas de deux leads to a full scrum.
the dance of the sugarplum fullback is the highlight of the evening only matched by the rousing music interspersed with traditional rugby songs the audience loves to join in with the rowdy choruses.
on a technical point, by stuffing lambswool into the points of the ballerinas shoes, can assist kicking power in that vital last conversion.
no performance is the same, a different finishing scoreline every evening and matinees on Thursdays keeps everyone happy.

Ah, you make the impossible po-ssible. |

Giant flocking road cones in tutus come to mind. |

Complete with tutus in team colours, and leotards emblazoned with crass advertising no doubt? |
|
|
Flankers could do it. Nevermind them louts in the first and second row. |

I would especially like to see flankers flanking under the skirt of Mother Ginger...[link] |

FarmerJohn, I would like to see an illustration of that "Prima" as the one punted. |
|
|
<bitter & twisted> You could also do a version of Swan Lake, with the England cricket team playing the swan as it lays down and dies about halfway through the show </bitter and twisted> |

one would certainly consider a pas de deux with that person - bliss. but I do worry about your visualising male genitalia anywhere in that picture my dear. have you seen your optician lately? just a 10 minute check is so important.. |

This reminds me of a Skit I have been threatening to choreograph at my community theater with for years now. The Big & Tall Men's Ballet. |
