For those that wish to supplement their monthly income - for life - what better way
than to have advertising slogans tattooed onto the body. The permanent nature of these adverts would ensure a monthly payout for life!
Various parts of the body could be used, and the amount of money that could
be earnt would vary depending on the body part. For example, the words "Heinz Baked Beans are Good For You" could be tattooed on the forehead for 200 pounds / 150 dollars a month! The knuckles could be used to store up to 8 letters of advertising, such as "I love ham" or "Nike Cool", or even "Just say no to drugs" (for those with fat fingers only), raking in 10 dollars a knuckle!.
For those who sunbathe regularly and therefore wear little clothing, this could turn into a real moneyspinner as one could hire out the entire chest and back for 2000 dollars a month!
I'm sure advertisers would be interested in this new market niche!

There was a TV story about a small burrito place where people who had the place's mascot tattoo'ed on them would eat free for life. Since the tattoo didn't have to actually be visible in everyday life, this wasn't quite the advertising deal it's made out to be, but both sides still seemed to be happy with it. I fear for good taste in the 21st century. |

I'll even pay any girl who gets a 'Hooters' tattoo |

And this brings up another one of my inventions: skin-colored tatoo ink for those who aren't really sure they want a tatoo... |

Baked (well, except for the obvious joke.) Penn Jillette got himself a tattoo without ink. ("Tattoo of blood", cf. the Captain Howdy song/CD.) |

And then of course there is the example set for us by Nike, whose sales reps (traditionally) have the swoosh tattooed on their ankles as a sign of company loyalty. How do I know this? Well, of course, there are many people who know the story but I only became aware of it when the Nike sales rep was filling out his unemployment paperwork next to me after he was laid off. So from a practical standpoint, I would like to see guaranteed income tied to corporate tattoos, if for no other reason that because our Nike friend became a cautionary tale. |

Nikuza! Cool! But will they accept a lobbed-off little toe if one hasn't met one's target for this quarter? |

|

i got a gola tattoo... worst mistake i ever made in my life (not really but you have to think about will the brand still be trendy years after you get it, or even worse, like zipyanna said, it went out of business. you would have an out of date tattoo AND no money from it) |
|
|
i'd do it, but only if it was something I really believe in. |

Advertisers are now sponsoring college students to wear a logo on their foreheads 3 hours a day (link) |
|

Adbusters has a spoof about this concept. High school award good students with Nike, Camel, Pepsi, etc. tattoos. It appeared in the 13 Dec. 1999 _New York Times_. |

A radio station in Chicago, I think, announced that they would pay $5000 if someone tattooed their call letters in their forehead. The person who did it ended up suing to _try_ to get the money. |
